| This was supposed to be the Wakeboarding entry... |
But. Do artists really feel more creative at night? I thought it was just me. I mean, it's not like I claim to be an -artist- anyway, 'cause I'll just give a bad name to that thing they call "productivity". There's nothing really useful in that link, but the creative cycles of different artists provide for an interesting read. I myself am the kind of person who lives her waking life in a white haze. If you attached a thought bubble above my head in daytime, it would be blank. But in my non-waking life -- that is, from the moment I plopped down to bed -- inspirations, visualisations, wordplays and whatnots would gush into my head. Which proves a rather inconvenient problem because the very reason why I'm on the bed IS TO GET SOME SLEEP. Jeez. At least, that was how it used to be.
Nowadays (actually it's been a couple of years o_O), I'll just drift off to an unusually dreamless sleep, which probably happens because I'm staying up a lot later and longer than before, sometimes even till 5 or 6 in the morning... just for the heck of it. XD I do miss those days when I have to get up from But honestly, 11pm to 5am remains the most coughchokechokeproductiveahem period for me. 早死型的。
Lookie, it's 3am. And I have to wake up at 8am for a project tomor-- I mean-- later.
-----------
I've also finished writing the draft of the October ZS Saiyuki. Yes I make a draft before actually typing it out. I'm so serious about making it perfect(ish) it scares me. And it's not perfect in the end anyway XD

| Blessed be the disorganised |
The blue leather-bound book feels strange and weighty in my hands. Am now trying to grasp the concept "organising my plans" with this foreign object they call "organiser".
Event XXX is happening on 21 Aug. Do you have anything else on that day that might clash with it? Twenty-fi...? Wha-? I don't know, maybe I should take a look at this "organiser" thing... no- wha- ARRGH SO MANY DATES. MY EYES. THEY GOING IMPLODEY Twen-twen-twen-twentyfi-- NO DON'T INTERROGATE ME ANYMORE JUST LET THEM CLASH PLZKTHX *slams organiser shut* Yeah, PL, I don't know how you do it, but you and your super-calendar-planners-of-doom will have my utmost worship for all of 1 minute starting now. Oops! you're not here to receive my worship, too bad. I KNOW, I'm pathetic, this much is confirmed. Now run along boys and girls, this tortured mortal here has a timetable-related email to send... right after her brain recovers from certain short-circuitness. (dies) ----------- After about 1-2 weeks of cough and cold (curses!), sickness finally seems like letting up. I was really worried that "accidentallyahem" playing football in the rain the other day will prolong the cold, BUT! am still fine and dandy :D |

...upload scans. XD But I seemed to have left the 2 Sanzo scans at home -_- will have to upload that next time. Tutorials! They're the last thing on my mind now :D Looking forward to tomorrow's lab session of "Sketching in 2-Point Perspective -- Circles". Sounds nice and art-ish doesn't it. And I'm not even taking art course. I flipped through the manual given, and it damn straight looked like a chapter right out of RandomBook#9323 on How To Draw Manga! Vanishing Points for Dummies!! ...yeah. XD Unfortunately I don't draw mechas, which is what this session looks to be mostly about. In other news, whenever I have a cough, it'll always seem chronic, 'cos it just won't go away. I'm having one now, which doesn't seem like stopping until I cough up a lung or something. Very irritating. |

| At the risk of sounding more idiotic than I actually am, |
I'm dying over the latest Tsubasa chapter. It's not even benign (in fangirls' eyes) anymore - Fai adheres to Kurogane's arm! The stickiness goes on for 3 pages, and if [fangirls are] lucky, it might even spill over to the next chapter. But, Moving on,
July 22 was a special day. And I passed my driving test. No Phantom Taxi(tm) this time - except during the warmup, grrr - so all was good. But the fun started when I walked out to where mum was picking me up and she asked, "Wanna drive :D :D :D?" Come again? Does the sun rise in the east? Do I like football? Is Gojyo sexy? Is that car 2000cc??? OF COURSE.
I had taken leave from the hall camp to take the test, so now I
2) After retrieving something I've forgotten to take in the hostel room, I had to drive around to Sentosa where the camp was actually then at.
Now you know why I arrived at the beach rather late.
3) And after breaking camp, I gave stormy a lift to the station. Did you catch that? I gave stormy a lift to the station. Oh do you feel the power vibrating in those 3 discreet words! CAR. PWN. POWDER.
Yeah, hope I don't sound like a scary driver. 'Cos I'm not. Honest. (Ask stormy!) |

| (yet another) super long ass entry :D |
Okay, if I don't make this entry now, I won't be able to for another 5 days. (Because, camp again! Yeeah.)
Got Saiyuki Reload #5 and Tsubasa #10.
There was one line though, which made me go, "Oh. Major foreshadowing all screwed up." It was Sanzo commenting to Hakkai on Hazel's power in act.19, and while I had it as:
Well that's a whole world of difference isn't it. I'm quite inclined to adapt to the tank's version because it makes good plot sense and fits the original japanese line and, you know, is just -correct-, but then I think involuntarily of
And
Plus he actually uttered, "²ÇÄ㶼ɵ¡£" near the end of the book. Wha-
But!
And to digress slightly, the tank cover for DN#7 is So Much Love. *lovesmolestsL*
Now in Tsubasa's case, I'm more than glad to follow it weekly. It totally is not because of splash pages like this that might not be collected in the tankoubon; no it totally isn't. So colourful. So... domesticated. But of course, it's still the story (or rather, character interaction) that works the magic, so much that I can't -just- wait for the tank, as is xxxHOLiC. And Kurogane just keeps getting so much cooler (squealed at latest chapter, yes I did) :D
Random pic spam:
Also watched animeTsubasa #13 and #14. And you know what? Crack exists. FINALLY. In #14. I bet Namikawa Daisuke had so much fun generating crack out of Fai's voice. And Kurogane FINALLY tries to maul Fai for the first time in the anime, unless memory fails me. Happiness! In fact, #13 was already showing promise with less-than-usual still/silent panning scenes. There was even none of that major soundtrack which I was starting to get so sick of (though it came back to haunt the last bit of #14 -_-). Will download the subbed version of #14 to better understand the crack :D

One should not- never- ever- be glad of a suddenly-available seat on the train when sleepiness is prevailing and the destination is only 2 stops away. Especially if said train is the last one running. I was so bemused to find myself at the terminal stop that I forgot to thank the person who woke me up. And there were no more trains going back the other direction. That didn't look fun then -- it really didn't. At least I've always said that I wanted to see this station once. Fair enough. It's nice and big. But that's probably because not one soul was present by the time I went down to the concourse. Except the control station officers. Whom I tried not to embarrass myself in front of as I attempted to figure out how to get past this spiffy-looking auto-door in order to get to the bus interchange outside. (And since it -was- auto, it wasn't as difficult as I'd imagined to get it open after all.)
So outside I stood, feeling terribly stranded in the deserted bus interchange. (Think: cold bitter wind howling against a lone figure beneath a dark velvet night. It's close enough.) But this isn't about to turn into TEH ENTRY: Day I met a ghost!!1 or something, you know? I'm just sayin', it's a very strange feeling to have missed the last train (technically) for 2 consecutive days.
I used to think I'm super at staying up late at night but nowadays this confidence has been rattled. So. Much. (And stormy? I'll kill you for waking me up with that phonecall. If I remember to.)
Apart from that, yesterday can be neatly summed up as: exploring hostel room! and, no such thing happened. In fact, the BBQ was done near a car park in a humble metal tray on the floor underneath many residents' windows that -could- eject water if our voices/smoke turned out too irritating. Fortunately no such thing happened either. (We also managed to leave black scorch marks on the recently-renovated tiled-floor at the end. So, no, nothing to be proud of really...)
Also, it's (somewhat) heartening to see the diverseness of the courses the softballers are going to: medicine; dentistry; arts; econs overseas; accountancy.

Oh yeah, to those of you I was talking to on msn just now when I stopped replying... Well my father suddenly scooted in and stole the computer off me. Damn. You'd have thunk he's got enough personal time with the computer during my one-week absence. I'm still very sleepy |

Scanned! Translated! Efficiency! Achievement! But Spymac ain't cooperating. So this is where hollosite comes in handy again. Beware s.C. the big Devourer-of-Webspace! *shows fangs* I haven't put up July's translation yet. Because it's still atrocious. I hates keigo! It bites! >_< Off to camp tomorrow. (So will the rest of you. So why am I writing this entry? :D;;) And I haven't finished drawing the AkabaneGinji chibis yet! Oh the shame. I'm bringing a sketchbook there in case I get bored. |
